Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Retro summertime vibes

A throwback to the colourful Floridian beach resorts of the 50s and 60s, this great value, family-friendly option is walkable to Universal’s Volcano Bay.

You’ll arrive at this oversized motel to a kaleidoscope of colour and vintage styling and step into a palm-studded lobby decked out in mid-century style. The retro theming continues throughout the hotel, into the neon-lit ten-lane bowling alley, the huge quick-service Bayliner Diner, and the cerulean guestrooms. Find a spot beneath a jauntily striped parasol (or treat yourself and hire a cabana) around one of the two pools, or float around the lazy river on an inflatable. This is a family fun time resort at its finest.

Why we love Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

  • This is the only Universal hotel to feature a lazy river, adding to two pools, a waterslide, and an interactive water play area.

  • There’s a direct walkway to Universal Volcano Bay and complimentary shuttle buses to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk.

  • There’s a ten-lane bowling alley for family fun, and you can grab a bite before or after at the Galaxy Bowl Restaurant.

  • Guests of this resort get Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Eating at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Club is always casual. The counter-service Bayliner Diner serves the widest selection of choices, but if you’d rather relax over a table-service meal, Galaxy Bowl Restaurant is amid the energy, music, and clatter of the bowling lanes.

Bayliner Diner
A huge food court with counter service stations that offer deli sandwiches, pizza and pasta, burgers, build-your-own salads, and desserts.

Galaxy Bowl Restaurant
Grab a bite between games in the hotel’s bowling alley, with table service offering burgers, pizza, chicken wings and other American favourites.

Starbucks
Pick up coffee, snacks, or a quick breakfast ahead of a busy day in the Universal theme parks.

Delizioso Pizza
Order pizza directly to your room (or your sunlounger).

Swizzle Lounge
A lobby bar where you can order reimagined versions of classic drinks like Side Cars and Mai Tais.

Atomic Tonic
A shady pool bar near the Cabana Courtyard pool deck with ice-cold drinks, sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

The Hideaway Bar & Grille
In the Lazy River Courtyard, this is the perfect lunch spot on a pool day, with beers, snacks, and sandwiches for lunch and dinner.

The pizza delivery service is a great addition to the line-up. It’s particularly handy if you’re arriving late or planning a lazy day around the pool.
