Days 1-3

Hanoi

The capital of Vietnam is the perfect introduction to your adventure. Between the t’ai chi at dawn, the waft of beef noodle soup in the air, and the horns and revs of scooters, you’ll get that glorious “I’ve arrived!” feeling. A private driver and guide will take you to the city hotspots, returning you to the peaceful sanctuary of the Mövenpick to relax after a busy day exploring.

Day 4

Halong Bay

It would be remiss to visit this part of the world and not see the beautiful Halong Bay. Boarding a traditional-style junk and taking an overnight cruise makes sure you see the best of it. There’s the chance to kayak through caves and find a quiet patch on a private beach, too.

Days 5-6

Hue

You’ll fly from Hanoi to Hue to spend the next couple of nights in a countryside retreat outside Hue. You’re here long enough to spend a day exploring the highlights of Vietnam’s former capital, possibly including traditional dragon boat trip.

Days 7-9

Hoi An

Time in Hoi An follows, and from your base at the lovely Almanity Hoi An Resort & Spa, you’ll venture out on a half-day guided walking tour to visit a traditional Vietnamese house and other city highlights. A boat trip along the Thu Bon River allows a different perspective of the city.

Days 10-13

Ho Chi Minh City

You’ll fly to Ho Chi Minh City next, formerly known as Saigon. Here, you’ve got four nights to get to know this sensory metropolis. Two full-day tours help fuel your discoveries: the first is with a private driver and guide to take you to the must-see places, and the second is a boat trip along the Mekong Delta, where you’ll get a glimpse into the lives of the local people.

Days 14-16

Siem Reap

You’ll fly to Siem Reap next, checking into Tara Angkor for three final nights. A private tour of Angkor Wat takes you to the most famous spots in this intriguing epicentre of the Khmer civilisation. End the trip on a high and upgrade to a sunset champagne cruise.
