Public New York

Lower East Side luxury

If you hadn’t heard, the Lower East Side is the place to be. And the address on everyone’s lips is Chrystie Street – home of the flamboyant, yet sophisticated, Public.

When it came to creating Public, the designers ripped up the conventions of a typical hotel and went back to the drawing board. The idea was to bring all the luxury and leading-edge design that New Yorkers (and New Yorker wannabes) want from a hotel without the excessive price tag some super-luxe NYC establishments command. But how? Well, check-in? It’s a DIY job. Room service? Yes, but you’ll need to nip downstairs to collect it. Porters? Sorry, you’ll have to lug your own luggage.

Why we love Public New York
